- Data from aeronautical meteorological observation serve as vital information that determines the operation of aircraft
- Aeronautical meteorological observations are automated. AMOS equipment is deployed at civil airports and military airbases nationwide, measuring wind direction, wind speed, RVR, temperature, air pressure, precipitation, etc.
- The Aerodrome Meteorological Office of each airport provides observational data on the current weather at the airport to air traffic services units, flight crews, airport management and other air navigation services authorities.
- AMO conducts the following observations to prepare and provide meteorological products for safe aircraft navigation.
